Turn the Table

What I hear within the dark
I translate in the light
What is whispered in my ear
Is proclamated as I write

What I offer to humanity
Comes purely from my view
No motive of conformity
I also want what’s “you”

What first appears opposing
Encounters unity
An endless loop encircles
To form community

Black ink upon white paper
Heightened glory in the two
If separate from each other
I am lessened, so are you

So please accept my person
Partake of who I am
Don’t ask and I won’t try
to be your sacrificial lamb

Who I am is all I have
For you it is the same
Kill individuality
Inside religious games

There is no separation
I am you and you are me
By design we need each other
To spark divinity

Uncover the authentic self
Remove the mask and label
The core of our true nature
Will begin to turn the table
